My Winter Uniform

I used to think that to be stylish and fashionable you have to be dressed to the nines in your fanciest dress and highest heels. Skin tight looks were my go-to for so long because I would associate baggier clothing with hiding and detracting attention. My, have things changed! The fashion world has gone through a drastic change over the last decade since The Row took the runway by storm with their minimalism and non form-fitting silhouettes. As the fashion world fell in line, I myself have gone through a transformation where I don’t feel the need to wear form-fitting clothes as much as I used to. After having 3 kids, comfort means so much more to me than wearing something that makes me want to tear it off, just for the sake of fashion. Sunday’s, in the winter, are full of chauffeuring the kids back and forth to birthday parties, making the pizza store a glorified outing, and trying to find an indoor play ground to keep the kids somewhat occupied. On Sunday's, the obvious clothing choice is pajamas but an oversized sweater dress is a close second. I like to dress it up with my shoes or accessories to keep my fashion level up to par, whether it’s a cool pair of sneakers, a funky vintage necklace, or sleek sunglasses. The sweater dress has become a wardrobe staple of mine. I can’t get enough of it! It’s effortlessness and chilled vibe exude the whole “cool mom” look. This is one "uniform" look that has my full attention.
Mwah!
