Black Swan

If someone were to ask me to describe my personal style I would say without hesitation feminine and edgy. I think that’s an accurate description of me as a person. Cute with some sass, sweet with a bit of fire. Happens to be, my husband refers to me as The Fire Cracker (yes, it deserves to be capitalized) so it’s only natural that my style matches my personality. Designers like Christian Dior, Giambattista Vali, and Yves Saint Laurent to name a few, are those who I turn to for inspiration when I want to style an outfit. Give me a tulle skirt with a cropped leather jacket and a spiked Louboutin heel (hello Carrie Bradshaw) and the streets of Central Ave become my runway. Whether I’m in the cereal aisle at Gourmet Glatt or on the streets of NYC I’m dressed, to some extent, with some florals and hardware. As everyone knows, personal style is a reflection of ones personal expression, and I’m at a place in my life where I feel confident in not only what I wear but, also with who I am as a person. Fashion goes way deeper then just a skirt and top. It’s the outer layer of our soul, the armor of our heart. Fashion, for me, is very emotional because it gives over a piece of me every time I get dressed. It allows people to see who I really am without even speaking to me. I realize, that fashion is a very powerful tool and I intend on using it to take over one froo froo skirt at a time.
